THE NATURE ACTIVITY BOOK
The Federation of Conservatories of Natural Spaces, has created a vacation booklet of 120 games and activities to discover nature in a playful way !
Through 120 games and fun activities, children aged 8 to 12 and their families are invited to discover a whole world of plants and animals representative of the natural environments in which the Conservatoires d’espaces naturels operate, grouped into five major geographical entities: forests, countryside, coastline, freshwater and mountains. Throughout the pages, a “character”, in turn a scientist, a volunteer, or even an animator, is introduced to the readers and presents the different missions and modes of action of the Conservatoires d’espaces naturels.
Each chapter opens with a large “diorama” and observation games. The following pages are devoted to more specific natural environments, with their dedicated activities (mazes, riddles, code words, arrow words, rebus…). Various and varied games, with pedagogical texts, the whole sublimated by the drawings of Roxanne Bee which transport young and old from the bucolic universe of the countryside to the grandiose landscapes of the mountains, passing by the enchantment of the forest world.
After the launch of a collection of posters, and the publication of the book-guide “Discovering the remarkable sites of the Conservatories”, the Conservatories of natural areas wanted to offer an atypical and playful tool to the general public with an educational dimension to raise awareness of environmental issues among children. The tone is resolutely optimistic, we wanted to highlight throughout the pages “what works” !
